Here we go...Friday's the last day of fourth grade for Miss Priss...geez, I can't believe it's already over. It seems like this school year went faster than ever! So my baby girl will officially be a fifth grader...whoa... how did this happen?
Since gas is through the roof, and SCPS has been having half days this week, I've been working in the classroom until school lets out so I don't have to drive home and back again. Well, I'm here to tell you that this has been quite the opportunity to catch a glimpse at what school life has been like for Priss and her class...and I'm so happy about it! Since SCPS is a Christian school, the kids have devotional every morning, and yesterday's devotional was about doing the right thing, even when nobody's watching. Mrs. Caruthers had the children write in their journals about a time that they did the right thing, and nobody saw them. The class then could volunteer to read what they wrote...talk about cute! There are a dozen other examples of how our kiddos are learning respect, morality and accountability, but I won't bore you with them...just know that I sure am proud of what they teach our babies out there. This has been the best school year ever for Miss Priss...not only has she done really good with her grades, but her anxiety has all but gone away...phew, what a relief!
See how relaxed and anxiety free she looks? Oh my goofball kiddo...such a goober, she can't open her eyes wide without opening her mouth, what's up with that???
I love the b/w pics of Elizabeth!
