How can this be? I...the person who was so bored two weeks ago that I rambled on endlessly about absolutely nothing?
But, alas...it is true...so true. Between my Adolescent Psychology class (which I think every parent of a ten through eighteen year old should take), my Middle Grades theory class (which is a total snore), my mom in law coming in town and hanging out at the beach, and my girls' day out crop/movie fest, I've been toooooo busy to blog! Oh my!
And if I'm bein' honest here, I'm halfway through "A Thousand Splendid Suns"...this novel that follows the lives of two women living in Afghanistan...and I cannot put it down. So anytime I've got a minute I sneak into my living room, plop down in the corner of my comfy couch and get lost in the book.
But I'm here now...see? Look...I'm really here...and I cut my fingernails so I can actually type faster (I was starting to look like a circus freak.)
Anyway, here's what I wanted to show you...remember those Pagemaps I told you about a looong time ago? (the website's over on the left column down there if you wanna check it out.) Well, while we were cropping Saturday...see, here's us cropping...
Deiha and I had some similar photos (from Santee) and she was using her Pagemaps for inspiration...and I decided to copy her, I mean come on...it was just too easy to pass up. We didn't have exactly the same photos, and we had totally different papers (she used fresh new Making Memories stuff from their Passport line that she got in her Scarlet Lime monthly kit) and I had some super old Creative Imaginations stuff that I've had lurking in my stash for about two years. So we whipped out our layouts, Deiha forging ahead, me scuffling behind copying her every move, and this is what we came up with...
I think it's rather cool that we could take the same Pagemap (I think it was from June 07?) use different pics, papers, embellies, even flip the photos and come up with two fantabulous layouts. Ah...the ease of pagemaps...I suggest you go quickly... (it's free by the way.)
Oh yeah, and Father's Day came and went too didn't it? I'm fresh out of fathers 'round here, so I got off pretty easy...just had to get Big Dave something. And what did I give him that made his little mouth water and his tum tum say a big thank you?
You'd have thought I'd given him a wheelbarrow full of gold...he LOVES these things! He also got a big fat Home Depot gift card, because he wants wood to build a new deer stand...exciting huh? So I hope y'all had happy days with the Fathers in your lives...I know I sure did! :)
C'mon, closups of the los would be nice, huh? I mean, you girls are pretty and all but...
