I know I am!!!!
I love love LOVE me some Christmas, how 'bout you?
I can tell it's Christmas because I've been to Kroger every day this week, and am pretty sure I'm going back tomorrow.
I can tell it's Christmas because Miss Priss is on break from school which means we get to stay up until midnight or later and sleep in until noon.
I can tell it's Christmas because my house smells like homemade vegetable soup and chili (grub for our Christmas Eve party at Mom's house.)
I can tell it's Christmas because Miss Priss has a guilty look on her face...
...gotta watch that kid, or she'll have every present under the tree unwrapped and inspected before the big day.
I can tell it's Christmas because I weigh three pounds more than I did last week.
Tomorrow night my family and friends will find their way to Dhuland and spend a few really cool hours together just enjoying each other and celebrating this beautiful time of year.
I want everything to go in slow motion so it doesn't end. I love every bit of it... every bit of it.
So... how do YOU know it's Christmas at your house? I'd love to know!
The smell of cookies baking and the girls arguing and throwing fits of frustration of last-minute gift creation. It smells cold outside, too, which is perfect for Xmas!

Normally we have Christmas Eve at Mark and Jane's so Michaela can open her gifts. This year they will have services at church so this is a change. We will do Christmas Saturday afternoon this year which will work out okay as we have a small baby in the picture now. Last year we could hardly make it back to our house with the snow storm in full force. As I have gotten older and Mark and Jane's family has grown, Jane does most of the cooking. It is a relief for me although I really enjoyed it when everyone came to our house for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can still make my Santa butter pats for my granddaughter and now great-grandson.
