It's that time again... I need something good to read. Sure, I'm currently consumed with this droplet of wisdom and joy...
...but I'm thinkin' I need something more.
I just picked up Made in the U.S.A by Billie Letts,
which holds some promise for me.
And I finished listening to The Book of a Thousand Days,
which was frickin' AWESOME, and definitely not something I would have picked up on my own. (I'll definitely be reading or listening to more books by Shannon Hale.)
And I started listening to Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver,
and it has already gotten me WAY excited about starting an asparagus patch in my Dhuland garden. (I'll be researching planting dates, soil prep and locations as soon as I publish this post.) I'm only on Chapter 2, and already my wheels are turning furiously.
So, got any good book suggestions for me? What was the last book you read? Gimme something good, I've had some poopers lately and need something with some gumption.
Whatcha got?
If you've never read Princess Academy by Hale it's great. But I'm not suggesting any more because I have the feeling I may be responsible for some poopers. I just read a really ....interesting....one given to me my sister - "Dating Jesus". hmmm

Just finished "The Postcard Killers" by James Patterson. It was okay, but, not his best. Right now, I am reading "One Good Dog" by Susan Wilson - so far I like it.

I just finished HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET by Jamie Ford last night. I didn't want it to be over. I read it in two days (book club is tomorrow!) and it was a fun, interesting book. The main character is so frustrating and endearing at the same time. Enjoy!
Oh, and I loved ANIMAL, VEGETABLE, MINERAL way more than I thought I would. I love all of Kingsolver's fiction as well.
Happy reading!

Try the Goose Girl series from Shannon. Also try the authors Jessica Day George, and Mette Ivie Harrison. Along the same lines as Shannon. :)
